He maintains and active role as Corporate Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. His experience in the storage sector began in 2008 when he founded American Self Storage, LLC and purchased the first of its holdings. Since that time, under his direction, the company has expanded its holdings to 8 locations with multiple acquisitions planned in the near future. He holds an officer position on the board of the South Carolina Self Storage Association.]
Mr. Petersen has been a successful entrepreneur, an active real estate investor, builder, developer and private lender for more than 20 years in the residential and commercial sectors spanning over several states. Prior to becoming involved in real estate, he enjoyed a successful career in manufacturing, distribution, import and export in the forest products industry. He also gives back by being involved in several community organizations and is the current Mayor Pro-Tem for the City of Liberty, SC and is a USCG licensed Master Captain.
